An example of awareness amongst kids for how voting is must for every citizens.

It’s being an election time, the biggest festival of Indian Democracy. Our chapter as an awaken organization JCI SURAT CITIZENS organized a drawing competition for children aging between 6 to 12 years dividing them in 3 groups.

The competition was held on last Sunday the 27th. We aimed at around 300 kids would participate. For this our team members coordinated with various schools with forms. Also our chapter members put efforts in their circle for Registration.

We got support from Divya Bhaskar and social media as well. To our expectations, the kids responded very enthusiastically.

All schools, mainly the school which also provided venue for the drawing competition, Swaminarayan H V Vidhyalay supported in a big way as the event was for a cause.

In the morning On Sunday, at 7 am sharp when we reached venue, we saw that many kinds are already waiting for us. They really motivated us. When we completed registrations in next 1 hour, the toll was whooping 329.

Our first mission to make people aware to do vote, was accomplished through these kids was achieved.

Any ways, the entire team of our chapter was at the venue and the most surprising factor to most of us was the preparation of the kids for competition and their enthusiasm was viral.

When the 3 groups started their drawing, we were amazed to find variety in thought, concept, imagination and putting it all on drawing sheets.

I am sure the future of our country is the best and the new generation of these kids will make it more better.

The event was so successful and more importantly to the purpose to inspire more numbers of people to vote, we contributed little more from our side.
