Truth… Yours and Mine….

सत्यमेव जयते….  Originated from Mundaka Upanishada is adopted by The Indian Union as it’s motto. The complete sloka goes this way,

In Devanāgarī script

सत्यमेव जयते नानृतं
सत्येन पन्था विततो देवयानः ।
येनाक्रमन्त्यृषयो ह्याप्तकामा
यत्र तत् सत्यस्य परमं निधानम् ॥६॥

Transliteration

satyameva jayate nānṛtaṁ
satyena panthā vitato devayānaḥ
yenākramantyṛṣayo hyāptakāmā
yatra tat satyasya paramaṁ nidhānam

In English

Truth alone triumphs; not falsehood.
Through truth the divine path is spread out
by which the sages whose desires have been completely fulfilled, reach where that supreme treasure of Truth resides.

The motto of The Indian Union is the base of ancient Vaidic culture based on the truth alone. The truth can’t be fabricated. It remains as it is and shines like a sun when all darkness melt down by the power of truth. What is this truth. Is the truth of yours and mine same? When we beg to differ on an issue who decides the right as we stick very firmly on our views on an issue.

There are many issues which are being microscoped which may affect the National interest and may take National politics to all new lows where you and me as responsible citizens won’t prefer to think even. But entire nation is divided on these issues. Let’s take the case of Rohit Vemula sucide, or JNU row or now, the Ishrat Jahan Fake encounter. All the issues have their own truths. All these issues have been presented in completely different angles by each parties interested to drive it in particular direction for specific benefits from political angle.

All these issues are in courts under trial and courts will deliver their judgements based on the evidences put forward to them. The matter of concern is, everyone is impatient to wait for the courts to enlighten the truth in their judgments and want to conclude the matter as per their choice, as these parties have to contests the elections in five states in April 2016.

Now all these efforts of all trial runners outside courts do insult and try to vanish the motto of Indian Union सत्यमेव जयते.  I strongly feel for National interest and for our own interest, we must let go whether I am right and you are wrong, or they are wrong and we are right. Instead, we must put in our genuine efforts to identify what is is right and what is wrong for the nation, for society, for you and for me. And this “What is right for us” will help us choose the sides of parties who are interested to do what is good for all of us.

Let’s play our role responsibly to take the side of what is right. This will help our National motto “सत्यमेव जयते” to rephrase the fate of India.
